John Mitchell Kemble Collection, 1827-1840.

The John Mitchell Kemble Collection consists of six manuscript notebooks detailing his work with the Anglo-Saxon language, customs and traditions. James Wilson Bright bought these notebooks during a trip to England. As a philology professor at Johns Hopkins University, Bright used these materials to aid his teaching.
